Flexo Guards©

Here are some examples of configurations for different types of conditions.
This shows how versatile the Flexo Guards© can be.

FLEXO GUARD CONFIGURATIONS

1. HIGH MOISTURE & HEAVY FOLIAGE CONFIGURATION:
    (Rivited Sickle Sections Only)
This partial section displays the common set up for headers
using rivited sickle sections.
This setup is effictive in high or low moisture and heavy or
light foliage conditions.

WARNING: DO NOT USE THIS THIS SETUP ON HEADERS USING BOLT-ON SICKLE SECTIONS OR TINE WIRE DAMAGE WILL OCCUR!

2. MODERERATE MOISTURE & MODERATE FOLIAGE CONFIGURATION:
     (Bolt-On or Riveted Sickel Sections)
This partial section displays the recommended set up for bolt-on sickle sections.  Headers with riveted sickle sections may want to use this set up in low shatter  conditions or to save time when converting back to a full row of Grain Saver Boots.  Make certain to install Grain Saver Boots on both sides of sickle hold down as shown in the drawing to prevent bolts from damaging the tine wires.

WARNING: HEADERS USING BOLT-ON SICKLE SECTIONS MUST INSTALL A GRAIN SAVER BOOT ON BOTH SIDES OF THE SICKLE HOLD DOWNS OR TINE WIRE DAMAGE WILL OCCUR!

3. LOW MOISTURE & LIGHT FOLIAGE CONFIGURATION:
     (Bolt-On or Riveted Sickle Sections)
This partial section displays a full complement of Grain Saver Boots.
This set up is very effective in high shatter conditions, collecting most
shatter that would have previously been lost when sickle contacts the
stock.  Also improves reel action, stock transfer and prevents tine
wire damage.
